Electronic Manufacturing Industry Statistics and Growth Projections

Industry trends show that there are a myriad of reasons why the industry is changing. There are some key data that have been featured as a consequence of this. A sampling ofhe most notable include:
  1. Hourly downtime impacts the majority of businesses. 98% say it can cost them $100,000 or more per hour.
  2. Predictive maintenance could lower costs by 20%.
  3. Unplanned outages can be avoided by up to 50% by predictive maintenance.
  4. The majority of large companies, 72%, have to have 99.99% minimum uptime.
  5. Electronic manufacturing is expected to grow by roughly 8% by 2025.
  6. 50% of IoT spending is expected to focus on transportation, logistics, and discrete costs.
  7. 40% of IoT customers prefer working with an established company.
  8. 63% of companies believe that investing in IoT devices will increase profitability.
  9. Three-quarters of companies will have digitized their supply changes by 2021.
